'Buster' was foaled in 2001 in Virginia. The last of a Champion line of stallions out the remarkable little imported mare "Cheeky," now retired, and sired by the now deceased premium stallion "William."

A strong straight moving stallion, with tons of presence, bone and quality, and a stunning welsh head. Already at a tender age proven to be producing quality marketable stock.

A full brother to many Champions, including well known stallions:
Brookside Star Witness retained by the stud in Virginia.
Brookside Starry Knight standing at Madoc Stud in Texas
Brookside Mega Star standing at the Starbury Stud in Ohio.
All of whom were foaled and shown in Canada, where the stud farm resided at that time.

'Buster' was not shown in hand again until he was a 2 year old, when at which time he was leased to Jon and Sarah Bates of the Hi Hopes farm in New York State in 2003. In the capable hands of Jon, he was shown at two shows winning Champion at the NEWPA Show and the 2003 Overall High point 2 year old and under Champion.

He also stood a very respectable Reserve Champion Section A Stallion at the Royal Winter Fair in Toronto, following in the footsteps of his Sire and Dam, as well as his full brothers mentioned above, who previously had won major prizes at the Royal in good company.

While residing at High Hopes farm, Buster was broken to ride, and also produced several good quality foals. Some of which have gone on to be champions in their own right. High Hopes Prowler, a stunning black colt , who is to become the future section A herd sire for that farm, and who was also lightly shown by the Bates, in 2004, obtained NEWPA High point Champion in his division.

Buster, in his young years, has shown great promise as a future herd sire, and we look forward to his future babies here at Brookside and Lakeview Studs.
